I cant really tell by the picture but it looks like the head is gone. If thats the case I would say a racoon did it. They can rip open chicken wire like butter! Sorry for your loss.Take CareCristina

Yes, he was next to the fence. I now have to go out every afternoon and make sure they are up in the coops.The coons weight was 20lbs. He tried to reach thru the trap and grab hold of my husbands...

MY guess is a coon, we double wired the rabbits cages cause the coons would grab thir feet and pull them thru the bottom of the cages... so one wire and a second wire three inches below the bottom of...

Im sorry about your bird, Lydia, but Im sure glad that you caught the raccoon. We have had birds pulled thru the fence like that, by a raccoon or possum. My DD has trapped 6 possums in recent weeks.Chel
